Cisco ASR 9922

The Cisco ASR 9922 Router is the largest of the Cisco ASR 9000 Series Routers at 43 rack units (RUs). This high-capacity platform is designed to deliver the services of tomorrow.

Providing increased bandwidth capabilities for network devices at low prices is one of the primary criteria for true carrier-transport platforms. The ASR 9000 Series can scale up to 96 Tbps per system, which provides an ideal foundation for a full suite of next-generation services.

While traditional service prices continue to decline, the Cisco ASR 9000 Series helps to establish a new financial reality. It facilitates reliable and scalable video, next-generation mobile aggregation, and advanced Carrier Ethernet service offerings.

Cisco ASR 9010 Router

The Cisco ASR 9000 Series operates in a fully distributed fashion which equates to all packet forwarding decisions and actions taking place on individual line cards. The purpose-built high-density Ethernet line cards are equipped with a flexible programming infrastructure, high-density Ethernet, robust Hierarchical Quality of Service (H-QoS), advanced Ethernet services, wide ranging security mechanisms, and integrated Synchronous Ethernet capabilities. Cisco ASR 9006 Router

The Cisco ASR 9006 Router in a 10-rack unit (RU) form factor allows for a full featured, highly reliable deployment in space-constrained environments. This product comes fully equipped with all the same software functionality and line card options as the ASR 9010, just in a smaller package. With dual route switch processors (RSP) along with full commons redundancy, system and network resiliency become a reality for slot-reduced deployments.

The ASR 9006 uses an inventive side to back airflow to allow for CO deployment regardless of the horizontal slot orientation.

Like the ASR 9010, the ASR 9006 uses the innovative Cisco IOS XR software which is built especially for distributed systems like the Cisco ASR 9000 Series. Cisco IOS XR Software is based on a unique microkernel architecture to enable true modularity. This modularity provides the path to nonstop operations in software image upgrades or module changes without affecting normal platform operations.


Cisco ASR 9001 Router

The Cisco ASR 9001 is a compact, high-capacity, provider-edge router that delivers 120 Gbps of nonblocking, full-duplex fabric capacity in a 2-rack-unit (2RU) form factor.

Part of the Cisco ASR 9000 Series, the ASR 9001 is based on the same Cisco IOS XR Software image and delivers the same features and services, allowing customers to standardize on the same Cisco IOS-XR image.

The Cisco ASR 9001 has an integrated route switch processor (RSP) and two modular bays, which support 1 Gigabit Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, and 40 Gigabit Ethernet modular port adapters. The base chassis has four integrated 10 Gigabit Ethernet enhanced Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP+) ports, a GPS input for Stratum 1 clocking, BITS ports, and management ports.
