FCS Global announces 10 new jobs with the expansion into the US Market

Roscommon based communications firm, FCS Global has today announced details of an exciting expansion project which will see the establishment of a new training entity, Engineering expansion and expansion into the US market with the creation of ten new jobs.


This expansion programme is being supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland by way of a job expansion program.


Currently employing over 60 staff, FCS Global is a global independent communications company that provides communication solutions including voice, data and networking services to a wide variety of small, medium and large corporate clients worldwide.


The establishment of the new training facility will deliver a complete phone system training programme, which will provide engineers with comprehensive training courses in multiple IP PABX, Legacy PABX and Data system technologies. This new state of the art training facility will be based at the company's headquarters in Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon and will also offer training programmes from locations in Romania and the UK to meet growing demand for its services.


FCS Global was established in Ireland in 2002 by Mike Rowland and developed as a support service provider in the Irish market for Contact Centres and Enterprise Networks. It was then expanded to provide global services for multinational clients by adding multi technology platform capabilities, specialising in legacy and IP Voice. Following the launch of its Enterprise Ireland aided global expansion programme in 2012, FCS Global has opened bases in countries including Czech Republic, Denmark, Israel, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Russia, Sweden, South Africa, the UK and the USA. Further entities will become operational in the next 2 months.


Currently over 3000 sites in 170 countries are serviced globally by FCS Global engineering staff, which includes a 24 X 7 X 365 a multi-lingual service and support desk.


Welcoming the announcement, Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD said: “At the centre of our Action Plan for Jobs is creating a powerful engine of exporting Irish business. Today’s announcement that FCS Global, an innovative Irish communications company, is expanding its operations in Roscommon and creating 10 jobs is very welcome news, and I wish them every success with this project”.


Speaking at the announcement, FCS Global Managing Director, Mike Rowland said, "In 2012, FCS Global launched a very ambitious expansion plan to develop our services with the establishment of new entities throughout Europe, South Africa and the USA. Following the incredibly successful delivery of this programme, we wanted to maximise our resources to provide a much-needed training service to our European customers through our training centres in Roscommon, Romania and the UK. Since the establishment of our company in 2002, Enterprise Ireland have continuously provided support to us in our development in Ireland and in overseas markets. Their support in feasibility studies, research, and grants has been instrumental in our continued development and for their assistance, we are incredibly grateful."
